When a boating joyride during their Caribbean vacation takes a disastrous turn, a doctor, his wife and their 5 year old son find themselves stranded on a deserted island. Isolated and alone, without food or water for days, they are finally discovered by two local fishermen. But their salvation soon becomes a living nightmare when the fishermen abduct mother & son and demand a ransom for their safe return. At first impression, this film seems quite unattractive, but after half an hour it nails you to your chair and lures you into a very suspenseful survival crime drama, which reminded me of The Fugitive with Harrison Ford. The decent script provides a good dose of twists and turns, convincing performances, a realistic premise, plenty of suspense, and the sense of hopelessness where the main character's whole life is turned upside down in one night is shocking. A very good film 80%

The family goes on vacation to the sea in a suspicious boat, which also prevents them from returning from the island, and they end up shipwrecked. The problem is that they won't be able to survive, and they don't secure even a drop of water, so the little son starts to slowly die. A man wants to take the rescue into his own hands, but everything gets complicated. At times quite boring, and predictable, but watchable.
