When everyone is out for revenge, no one is safe. This is never more true than in Season Four as former enemies Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), and Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff), the chief counsellor to each, have come together to form an uneasy but highly effective alliance, aimed at the eradication of all their rivals. The creators of the series seem to have run out ideas while writing the fourth season. In my review of the third season, I said that I was hoping that the cooperation between Chuck and Bobby could revive the series. Now I can honestly say I was wrong. It was only wishful thinking, and this turned out to be the weakest season yet (at least for me). 4*-

Undoubtedly the most self-centred, self-contained and self-serving season of them all. Gone is the imaginative and brilliant work with the characters from the first season and the breadth and variety from the second. This is just marketing and an attack on the impressionable viewer. There are a few bright spots, standard good performances, but nothing that could be seen again without fast-forward.
