Plots(1)

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it's a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn't so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. (Walt Disney US)

English I've long wished someone had filmed Bryan Talbot's divine comic “Grandville", and Zootopia is close to my idea of what it should be like. It's a wonderfully imaginative cartoon from a thoughtful setting, with a story almost like a comedy crime story for adults (48 Hours, The Last Boy Scout, Midnight Run...), sympathetic characters and the best parody of The Godfather I've ever seen. I must also praise the Czech dubbing with new and precisely fitting voices. ()

English This is the best human rights agitprop, and I only take issue with the creative cowardice regarding the fundamental moral issue of predator eating habits. Otherwise, it is in all respects an absolutely fantastic crime film, a top-notch buddy movie, a dynamic action ride, and an all-round reference (Jesse and Walter are amazing!) containing a spectacle that will define the term "feel good" for a long time to come. English Animated films are one of my lesser favourites and I watched Zootopia before I knew anything about it, and this nearly-billion dollar hit and is indeed a success even for me. The film isn't so much for the little ones, it is a colourful whodunit driven by buddy humour and full of references to better known films that smaller children certainly won't get. It has amazing pacing, beautiful animation, literally breathtaking, all the details and animals look wonderful – the central duo is excellent: the rabbit is hilarious, the fox is properly cunning and smart. And on top fo that, the frequent twists are very unexpected and intelligent. Who knew that underneath the animated veneer was such a polished film that also tackles world issues like bullying and racism. The scene with the sloth is the highlight of the film !!! :) 100% ()

English Ananimated moviethat combines adult life with an animal life intended for children. Zootopia is cute, kind, funny and here and there, there’s a stellar joke for the adults watching, because the universe brings us true gifts every other day. I even think that the sloths at the DMV were probably the best scene I’ve ever seen in a 3D-animated movie. However, at the same time, it still maintains a pleasant, cute and childish wit that the even children will appreciate. Zootopia was simply a success. ()

English The 55th Disney Feature Film. The combination of Disney and a town full of critters generates absolute yummy cuteness. They work with 3D animation long enough for you to enjoy the whole film and in the meantime just suppress the urge to stroke the main character. Judy Hopps could compete with all those friends from the touching story about Bambi. And that's saying something. ()
