Aphrodite

The Prince of Medina falls in love with Juliette, the beautiful model, and marries her. Juliette cuckolds her husband with Giovanni, the painter. Upon finding this out, the prince dies of a heart attack. The painter wishes to marry the widow, yet she refuses him although Giovanni is the father of her little daughter. According to her husbands will, she is only entitled to the legacy if she stays unmarried. The deceived lover becomes a begging monk, steals his daughter away and asks a fishermans family to raise her. Years later the former lovers meet again.
