Even though there have been many obstacles imposed by nature, humans have been able to adapt and survive up to now. But what is the key to survival? And why was it Homo sapiens among all creatures who were able to cope best with the necessary changes and populate the globe, with its various climates and living conditions? Humans have undergone significant evolution since the extinction of the dinosaurs, and thanks to their ability to survive almost anywhere on the planet they are considered to be exceptional. Niobe Thompson, anthropologist and director, makes a magnificent journey into the past of our own kind. Through spectacular footage with ultra-high 4K resolution and shots taken from a bird's-eye view or under water, we are able to watch the continuous evolution of the adaptability of humans, who have become the only species capable of living anywhere in the world.
