Present day Istanbul. Cemo, 10 years old, sells paper handkerchiefs to help keep his family solvent, and is secretly in love with Lara, who lives in a chic neighborhood. Hayat, a downtrodden wife, has to endure her husband's never-ending suspicions, until the day she agrees to meet her former boyfriend Murat, who has recontacted her. Ebru, a transsexual prostitute, loves Hakan, who does not dare to appear in public with her. All of these three main characters try to fulfill their dreams of love, even if only for a moment.
