A lovely musical that excellently captures a certain era, presenting Ireland with its problems, although not in a very complex way. Primarily, it's a great musical film. The music here really grabs you. However, when it comes to the storyline, it just couldn't impress me, as it felt too clichéd. ()
This type of story will never get old. On the contrary, it will always be pleasant to watch. Then it’s only about whether the music, characters, and location of the movie are right for you. Well, and since I watched films in a similar vein and gave them 5 stars, I will give this one “only” four stars. Nevertheless, they are very solid four stars that shine very brightly in the realm of Irish cinema. ()
