Three goat-herds in East Sardinia: a father and a son, Franchiscu and Pietro, 63 and 17 years old, and the unmarried herdsman Miminu, 43 years old. Pietro is a loyal assistant to his father. He herds and milks their goats, but like his peers he also attends school, wears jeans and T-shirts, and meets other teenagers in the village square at night. Miminu's future is uncertain with his large flock, now that commercial ways of making cheese and marketing methods threaten his traditional working procedure. For Pietro, the lives of his father and Mimimu are bench-marks to judge himself by and to contemplate his future. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
