In the mid 1980's Peter Brock was on top of the world. The 8 time winner of the Bathurst 1000 endurance race, "Peter Perfect", as he was known to his legion of fans, also owned the multimillion dollar Holden Dealer Team. Commercially Brock had become the perfect marketing billboard for a number of corporations and most significantly his name had become synonymous with General Motors Holden. Yet practically overnight his self-made empire would crumble. Brock's involvement with Dr Eric Dowker and the development of the Energy Polarizer had marginalised his reputation and his gung-ho push to release his VL Director using an un-approved rear suspension angered his masters at Holden who withdrew their support. The unthinkable had happened. Peter Brock and GMH split and it happened in an incredibly public and acrimonious way. A cloud placed over his very future in this elite sport. Even with the continued support of major sponsor Mobil, Brock struggles to make it back to Mount Panorama for the 1987 Bathurst 1000. Arguably considered the greatest driving effort at Bathurst ever witnessed by fellow drivers and spectators alike, Peter Brock battled against what seemed to be insurmountable odds and came from the middle of the field halfway through the race to finish third place. Months later, after much controversy and legal action; Brock was declared the winner, his 9th Bathurst Championship, a record that still stands today.'Brock, King  of the Mountain' explores the remarkable, against-all-odds story of Australian legend Peter Brock as he rose to be a champion again at the most talked about race in Australian motor sport history. The documentary is an exploration of the tumultuous events of Peter Brock's career during 1984 to 1987. To finally allow all the key people involved in this dramatic period to share their own insights and perspectives of the lead up to the split from GMH in an attempt to answer the questions which still exist after 30 years. This is the first time key people involved in both Peters business and personal life will appear in the same film in documentary form.
