Plots(1)
The adventures of Dennis and Clive, who run a radio station, Radio Roo. Each week the pair became involved in escapades rooted in confusion and slapstick - a situation shared by many other children's series except that, here, Clive was a kangaroo. Being that there aren't too many kangaroos within the vicinity of the BBC studios in west London, and even fewer who can talk, Clive The Kangaroo was - yes - a life-sized puppet, given a broad Australian accent by Ian Tregonning. Strictly speaking, Clive owned Radio Roo - he was bequeathed it - but his tendency to break things through his jumpy, boisterous behaviour meant that Dennis and his friend, the scatty Margaret, assumed nominal responsibility.
