More than 700,000 Syrian have found a temporary home in neighbouring Jordan after they run away of the war. A group of 60 Syrian women in Amman become involved in a new production of Euripides' The Trojan Women. The theme of this 2,500-year-old drama greatly reflects their recent experience. They have only a few weeks to prepare under the guidance of a professional director. Time flies by inexorably and the women, none of whom have any acting experience, often face inner battles and must deal with the memories that the rehearsals evoke. Thanks to their strength and courage, they deliver an impressive performance, bringing to life the tragedy of long drawn-out conflicts. (One World)
