Summer’s End

Johanna comes back home after a time in Copenhagen. The family is split, but she is almost convinced that it's possible to make everything all right again. She seeks contact with her twin brother, Jeppe, who is detained at a sheltered acommodation, and trying to convince himself and the others in his family that he is on the way to improvement, but no one believes him. In her effort to make everything right, Johanna is gradually forced to confront the tragedy that caused her family's fragmentation and that she herself has surpressed. Amanda Leissner's debut is a strong and well-played psychological drama about facing your own fears. (Göteborg Film Festival)
