High up in the Pamir mountains of Tajikistan, shepherds bring their flock to the summer pastures in June and retreat to lowlands by autumn. Summer season means hard work, but the nomads view it differently. They have been applying the knowledge collected over generations to take care of their animals - and of themselves. Progress takes a new meaning in light of culture and traditions. The beauty of their seemingly simple lives is uncovered in this ethnographic documentary, where hearing about the thoughts and wishes of the herders leads to a realisation of how similar we all actually are.
