Full Circle is a series of videos depicting plant growth and the life cycle. Inbal Hoffman, an Israeli artist, initially built an elaborate mechanism consisting of a rotating disk which was slowly powered by a stepper motor. She placed a container with growing plants on a disk to be captured every 5 minutes. The edited material consequently shows plant life in three stages, from blooming through sprouting to rooting. In the author's view, the striking music track accompanying the dancing plants with their roots facing upward adds a new and entertaining context to the videos. Hoffman consequently elaborated on the project by showing the videos on tablets in a display case behind a plastic container and a magnifying glass which created the illusion of the plants growing in a water-filled glass. The project was created as part of a series of installations in which the author works with plants and their seeds. (Academia Film Olomouc)
