After hosting friends for a dinner party on Christmas Eve, an older man facing the isolation of his would-be golden years decides to hire a handsome, young male escort for company. "The Stairs" is an alternate version of the prostitute story, an exploration of loneliness and the wide definition of intimacy. A true actor's piece, it is the story of our desperate need as human beings to just reach out and connect with someone. Even if it is the last thing we ever accomplish.
