Dombay Ágnes is a dancer. She appears every night with the singer Éva and the pianist Vera. The three girls correspond with three unknown young men, Laci, István and Péter. Ágnes lives with her aunt, an old maid, also called Dombay Ágnes. Even she corresponds with a country gentleman and sends him the picture of the beautiful Éva instead of her own. The men set out simultaneously to meet their unknown idols. The identical names and the exchanged photographs are the cause of a multitude of complications, yet in the end misunderstandings are cleared and everyone gets his or her suitable counterpart.
