What would you do if your community and its schools gave up on your child? In New Jersey, the parents of one autistic boy take matters into their own hands by forming a competitive swim team, recruiting multi-ethnic autistic teens and training them with high expectations and zero pity. What happens next alters the course of these youngsters' lives. It also will change what you think about the array of possible futures for kids on the autism spectrum. As The Jersey Hammerheads set their minds to accomplishing their goals in the water, their success is reflected outside of the pool in the form of confidence and social connection.
