Cora (2017) (S01)

English There aren't many series that I’ve enjoyed like this one. The creators managed to keep up a great atmosphere all along, especially in the first and seventh episode, both of which also had amazing suspense, which was the only thing missing in the rest of the episodes. Bill Pullman's performance greatly improved the quality of the series. He was totally convincing as Lieutenant Harry Ambrose, and not for a moment did I doubt he was a real person. 4*+ ()

Part I (2017) (S01E01)

English The opening episode immediately captivated me from the start to the point that I couldn't tear myself away from it. The creators managed to come up with a story that intrigued me, supplemented by quality tension in the plot, and pleased me with the performances of Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman, all crowned by a perfect atmosphere. ()

Part II (2017) (S01E02)

English In the second episode, the creators focused more on the personal lives of some characters, so naturally there was less tension, but the story was still interesting. I liked that all the flashback scenes were relevant to the plot and not just unnecessary padding, which often appears in other works. By the way, a nice childhood... well, well, believers... ()

Part III (2017) (S01E03)

English I have to admit that so far no episode has impressed me as much as the pilot, but that doesn't mean I didn't have a great time (four stars speak for themselves, after all). Exploring the past simply can't bring the same level of suspense that I look forward to, but the ending was really well done. ()

Part IV (2017) (S01E04)

English Even this time, it wasn't a five-star experience, the creators would have to fine-tune it even better for me, but the episode definitely deserved four solid pieces. I am increasingly enjoying the character of detective Harry Ambrose, Bill Pullman visibly enjoys his role in every position, and I am looking forward to every scene with him. ()

Part V (2017) (S01E05)

English I had a feeling that after the clues and memories of Cora brought Harry to the hunting club, the atmosphere became tense. Even in the fifth episode, the creators did an excellent job linking scenes from the present and the past, and although this episode didn't impress me as strongly as the first one, it deserves an extra half star compared to the previous three episodes. 4.5* ()

Part VI (2017) (S01E06)

English To be honest, I was somewhat confused by the trip from prison to the club, where kindness was suddenly the only known word, but otherwise I enjoyed the sixth episode thoroughly. I particularly appreciated another glimpse into the life of the heavily tested detective Ambrose, and Bill Pullman was great again. ()

Part VII (2017) (S01E07)

English Perfect episode. Practically the whole time was focused on the past, but unlike other series, it was not a delaying tactic, quite the opposite - I finally have clarity in everything, because until now I have been stumbling. The creators managed to keep secrets from me, which I highly appreciate, in other cases everything is usually clear significantly earlier. ()

Part VIII (2017) (S01E08)

English Normally, I would rate the final episode with four pieces, but arbitrarily, I added one flaw because at times I was overly critical of the series. This achievement, which I never got bored of, definitely deserved a nicer approach from me. ()

Julian (2018) (S02)

English Season 2 wasn’t as captivating as the previous season. Lieutenant Harry Ambrose's journeys into his past didn't impress me much. Neither Carrie Coon nor Natalie Paul could compare to Jessica Biel. But the worst of all was that the show lacked a moment of surprise. The season finale wasn't handled very well either. I don’t want to be only critical, though. There was a great atmosphere (for the most part), sometimes even decent suspense, and the story wasn’t bad at all. 4*- ()

Part I (2018) (S02E01)

English The second season did not start as perfectly as the first episode of the first series, however, it still had the right suspenseful atmosphere, the story immediately grabbed my attention again, and I am looking forward to how everything will first get tangled up and then unraveled. I also have to appreciate the creators' approach to quotas, with the character of Heather Novack they quickly ticked off three - a woman, a black person, and a lesbian. I applaud, it reminded me of the tale of the clever village woman. 4*+ ()

Part II (2018) (S02E02)

English The plot developed in the right way this time as well, the storytelling pace suited me, the quality atmosphere persisted, and Bill Pullman entertained me just like in all previous episodes. I just can't shake the feeling that Connie Coon and Natalie Paul couldn't replace Jessica Biel. ()

Part III (2018) (S02E03)

English Even the third episode did not disappoint me, the story has started to twist in an interesting way and once again the past and the present complement each other perfectly, and the plot remains interesting in both timeframes. Thanks to the latest development in the plot, the atmosphere has nicely thickened and it was only a small step away from getting a five-star rating. 4*+. ()

Part IV (2018) (S02E04)

English The third episode gained an additional half star from me, however the fourth episode was slightly weaker. Harry's woodland adventure didn't really captivate me, it might be because I'm not as passionate about ecology as he is. Nevertheless, I still rate it at a full four stars and I look forward to further quality development of the story. ()

Part V (2018) (S02E05)

English Only the fifth episode of the second season of the series was able to partially disappoint me. Besides the fact that I felt like the plot was somewhat stagnating, I'm almost certain who will "unexpectedly" turn out to be the villain and the character behind all the wrongdoing. In the first place, the creators fooled me until the last episode, but this time they exposed themselves quite early. If I am mistaken, I will gladly admit it, but I don't think it will be necessary. ()

Part VI (2018) (S02E06)

English Fortunately, there was a very rapid improvement, so I can probably forget about the previous episode. The plot had much better momentum this time, there was important development in the story, some tension was added to the quality atmosphere, only the nearly hundred percent certainty in the final villain is slightly disturbing everything for me. ()

Part VII (2018) (S02E07)

English "I need to go back to it once again, I really miss the moments of surprise that the creators succeeded in so well in the previous series. The revelation of the identity of the 'nightmare' did not affect me at all, but luckily the plot of the episode was so interesting that I had no reason to rate it less than four stars." ()

Part VIII (2018) (S02E08)

English The finale of the second season did not turn out well for the creators. It truly proved that I was not mistaken in my estimate, so there were no surprises, furthermore, I had the impression that there was a lot of rush at the end and Very Walker's actions were really strange and spoiled my overall impression. ()

Jamie (2020) (S03)

English Season 3 was a flop in my view. Although it didn't seem so at first, the writing got downright terrible towards the end, and the creators managed to make me detest the character of Harry Ambrose, who I hope will enter a well-deserved retirement after this. ()

Part I (2020) (S03E01)

English The third season of the series didn't start off badly at all, but I found myself hesitating about giving it four stars. It's just that everything is overly politically correct, which seems a bit forced to me. ()
