Everyone has heard about bee declines, but with so much attention focused on domesticated honeybees, someone has to speak up for the 4,000 species of native bees in North America. This is a story that photographer Clay Bolt wanted to tell from the moment he learned of the rusty-patched bumble bee's tenuous existence. For Clay, the rusty-patched bumble bee is a living symbol for all the forgotten species out there. (Colorado Environmental Film Festival)
