By means of artificial insemination techniques, millions of children are born every year. However, this simple fact is associated with a comparable number of harrowing stories – the attempts to start a dream family even when natural methods have failed. The topic of infertility is still a strong social taboo, so consequently, couples encounter a chaos of information. The story of the Moskins, a husband and wife, who are at the same time producers, creators and lead actors of the documentary, demonstrates the difficulties that infertile couples must face in order to achieve a desirable yet highly uncertain result – a new generation. Assisted reproduction is a physically, mentally and financially demanding process which generates constantly mounting stress and fear of failure. It's a bumpy ride, and couples must often face a difficult choice: how much are parents willing to invest into achieving the birth of their dreams, and how many expensive medical procedures are they both willing to undergo? The film captures all stages of the story, at the end of which, ideally, a new family awaits. (Academia Film Olomouc)
