Plots(1)

The young orphan girl Heidi spends the happiest days of her childhood with her solitary, grumpy-but-not-really grandfather, Almöhi, living far away from civilisation in a simple wooden cabin in the Swiss Alps. Together with her friend, Geissenpeter, she herds and tends Almöhi's goats, enjoying all the freedoms that the mountains have to offer. But these carefree days come to a sudden end when Heidi's Aunt Dete takes her to the large German city of Frankfurt. From now on she is to live in the house of the well-to-do Herr Sesemann and become a playmate for his daughter Klara, who is confined to a wheelchair. In addition, she has to learn to read and write under the watchful and strict eyes of the nanny, Fräulein Rottenmeier. Although both girls quickly become friends, the young girl's longing for her beloved mountains, her grandfather Almöhi, his goats and Peter becomes even stronger... (Berlinale)

English Something like what you expect from "Heidi". It doesn't bring anything extremely new, but I have to say that I immensely liked the shots of the countryside. They easily surpassed the whole story, which is nice, but you will probably know it, and if not, it will still seem quite familiar to you. It's great to watch with children. ()
