Tough Girls

We follow the stories of four "tough girls" aged 7-36, as they evolve during the two years we spend time with them. While we watch their roller-coaster of emotions and brutal fights, we ask the question: what motivates these girls to compete in such a masculine sport? Is it worth the pain, injuries and humiliation? The answer is much deeper than one would think: they fight for recognition, for acceptance, for success, for love, but, above all, they fight to combat their own fears and demons. (HBO Europe)
