The Merry Men

A carefree Merry Man walks, carrying a banner, which changes color. A wall of very sullen, gloomy people carrying sticks is approaching. The Merry Man cuts into this dense human mass, trying to move in his own direction. In this dramatic collision his banner is torn to pieces. Emerging from the raging crowd the Merry Man notices that all that is left of his banner is the staff. After some hesitation he turns around and blends with the crowd of faceless, angry, identical people carrying sticks. An expressive prophetic parable about historical metamorphoses and doomed ideals.
