English The unattainable has been broken, after ten years of tribulation we get the first film with Anny in French! And when making something so perfect, it was so perfect that it was overwhelming. It is hard to tell what was interesting, what was overwhelming, and what was even better. Anny, playing the adopted daughter of a professor from a girl’s school, simply cannot fail to charm. Absolutely everything the film deals with is delightful, the whole thing fits together beautifully and it is also beautifully filmed by Heller's genius, staged by the divine Lamač, and written by the interlocking tandem of Zerlett/Wasserman. It gets no negative points at all. Anny becomes the heroine of a pantomime, and in the same year that Hollywood was ruled by Venus in Swimsuit, Anny also encounters a bamboo skirt with a bunch of black men and ends up in a lion's cage. I will not be at peace until I've seen this film at least five times. It’s got great hits, and great everything. ()
