Façades

One beautiful day, Alex, a forty-something translator, finds her father, Jean, alone in his house. Her mother has left home without telling anyone. To make matters worse, Jean has old-age dementia. Surprisingly, this provides Alex with an opportunity – a welcome outlet from a troubled marriage – as she decides to move in with, and care for her father. Day by day, and layer by layer, the ancient family secrets unravel leaving Alex questioning her choices. She will soon discover that the course of true love never runs smoothly, and along the way, she will encounter its many facets. (Cinequest Festival)
