Miwi wakes up in the middle of the night to find out that her older sister, Juliana, had an accident. There are no further details, just the Miwi’s giddy impulse to grab some food and money, her cell phone, and drive her car to go with her sister. Without knowing for sure what is really happening, Miwi drives a thousand kilometers to save her sister. Lack of communication blocks these characters because there is a suffocating distance between them and though they grew up together they haven’t actually really shared their lives. This journey is marked by love, pain, and guilt. (El Riviera Maya Film Festival)
