Modern Love

It's the day before their wedding and Daniel (Anthony Rapp) and his somewhat younger fiancée Christopher (Jonathan Bennett) are their usual mismatched selves: finicky Daniel is fussing over the rehearsal dinner he is preparing for arriving friends and family while Christopher is busy messing up the place. There's more kvetching ahead for this adorable Odd Couple when Christopher is surprised by two of his closest friends with an even bigger surprise: they've tracked down his oldest and closest gal pal from his growing up years and she's arrived just in time for the wedding. Christopher is delighted to see her but Daniel is pissed: how come he never heard about her before? There are more complications ahead as friends and family arrive – Daniel's dear friend (and possibly, his one-time lover) Jacob (Mackenzie Astin), as well as his supportive but nosy parents and emotionally mixed up sister. These and other minor problems lead to a major case of wedding jitters for the couple who learn the meaning of "for better or for worse" in record time. (Chicago Reeling Film Fest)
