Picó, the Caribbean Sound Machine

The documentary Picós, as a mobile radio station aims to tell the story of the Maury family in Barranquilla, Colombia, who live in a house in the neighborhood of La Magdalena for 40 years who at once became a Estadero (music bar) known as The island of the sun. This family links four generations of “Picóteros” tradition, the family is headed by veteran “Picótero” Ricardo Maury, who owns a "showcase" or old Picó called "The Great Warrior," a man who had abandon his stung and has given pressure of new technologies to make way for his son Rafael Maury who with his modern and potent Picó continues the tradition of the Maury family.
