A core of Finnish chosen ones meet regularly at an outdoor swimming pool, for whom swimming is merely a pretext for gathering at this special place. Confidently, they pose at the edge of the pool: vulnerable, pure and uninhibited. While vacationers horse around behind them, they look intently into the camera as if they see something that ordinary mortals fail to perceive. Is it a spaceship, a magical sign? Keidas is a meditative trip to an oasis of tranquillity and bliss, captured in rigidly framed shots. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
