If you accept the certain clumsiness of the screenwriting (there are too many coincidences in plot) and overlook the strong soap opera feel, you can enjoy watching Paradise Lost quite a bit. With much of the film taking place in a music bar, no expense was spared in singing and colourful costumes, giving it a snazzy retro feel. Despite my criticism of the script, I was impressed by the insertion of sign language into the plot. After a few days, you probably won't remember this film, but it's perfect for a free evening. ()
