Amberson (Alex Lawther) may be awkward at sports, but his imagination comes to the fore when he helps the handsome school hero (who is more lad than poet) pursue Agnes (Pauline Etienne), the daughter of the visiting French teacher, despite being enamoured with her himself. A lovely comedy based on a timeless story. (Edinburgh International Film Festival)

Prioritize:
An appealing premise in a dull, boring and unfunny comedy with very unlikeable characters. I don't think I've ever seen a British comedy this tedious. I didn't laugh once and I haven't seen a worse film this month. 20%. ()
