Dom, 36 years old, is a sailor on board of the fishing boat Petit Gael II from the port of Les Sables d'Olonne, a small town in western France. He is used to leave for the open sea for at least three weeks in a row. Despite of his absences, his teenaged children decided to live with their father since the divorce of the parents. Tempête is an incredibly civil and ordinary film. It’s about the people around us and their ordinary lives. The fleetingness of the moment is made up for here with beautiful shots of the sea or of a fishing boat. That and the acting performance of the actor portraying the protagonist are the only things that are worth mentioning about this film. Other than that, it’s a pretty boring movie where nothing important happens and you will spend a part of the 89 minutes it takes cursing yourself.
