Isabella (S01E12)

Depressed and bed-ridden, Tony spots Isabella, an Italian exchange student staying at the Cusamano's. Enthralled, he has lunch with her, and even daydreams he is her baby. Later, Christopher inadvertently prevents a hit on Tony, but the two black hitmen try again a day later. Tony ends up escaping with minor injuries; one hitman is killed and the other flees. Recuperating at the hospital, Tony gets a visit from FBI Agent Harris, who advises the Sopranos they need protection -- which includes relocating. Back home, Tony is visited by his faithful captains, then by Uncle Junior and Livia. Meeting with Dr. Melfi to determine if she leaked info to the wrong people, Tony comes to the conclusion that his experience with Isabella signifies the lack of the kind of nurturing and loving mother he never had.
