New York to Conakry

Five drummers and two dancers from the NYC area travel back to the Motherland to Conakry, the capital of Guinea, West Africa. Through this cultural exchange between the African American and African artists with their performances of the many dances and song from the motherland, we see how artistic expressions have influenced, transformed and evolved throughout the Diaspora. More importantly, their exchange reflects the love and camaraderie between the African artists and their brothers and sisters of the Diaspora. (Pan African Film Festival)
