Heroines

Nina is a young, introspective girl, who is blossoming to understand the world and mold her own perceptions. Her neighbor Regina, is a middle-aged woman who is crass and even sometimes vulnerable.During a babysitting session, Regina takes the opportunity to explain to Nina the world of intimacy and love. From Regina’s twisted allegory, we begin to understand everyone's life is a compilation of questionable decisions and everlasting memories. But through Nina’s muted observation, we see there is more depth and secrets that she holds within herself. (South by Southwest Film Festival)
