Their size, strength, speed and intelligence have fascinated us for several generations. What caused such a warm relationship between horses and humans? After watching this film, you'll feel closer to horses than ever. In the Canadian CBC TV documentary Equus: Story of the Horse, an anthropologist and horse lover, Niobe Thompson, takes us on a journey across continents. The film, using 3D animation, shows the evolution of horses that began 45 million years ago. Thompson also talks about horses’ physiological predisposition to speed and ability to survive in the wild, their brain capacity, and above all, how it was possible to domesticate these previously wild animals and make them part of our world.
