In today’s politically charged media landscape, no figure looms larger, even after his passing, than Roger Ailes, molding Fox News into a force that irrevocably changed the conversation about the highest levels of government. To understand the events that led to the rise of Donald Trump, one must understand Ailes. (HBO Nordic)

The Loudest Voice (2019)

English A great show about the truth behind news coverage. The excellent Crowe revels in playing Ailes like he relishes the cakes that he is forbidden to eat in the end. Manipulation, astute comments directed at the regular, tired dad in front of the TV and then cute girls. Mainly the girls. The series focuses on the most important years, almost never losing pace. From the beginnings of FOX News, through the Twins to Donald and the indictment. The acting performances are top rate and demanding. It's just a shame that they didn’t finish it until he slipped in the bathroom. ()

1995 (2019) (E01)

English This packs a good punch. It grabs you from the very first sigh and doesn’t let go. Crowe is captivating. In-depth knowledge of business and human nature plays the central role here. This is certainly no The Newsroom, that was utopia, this is real life. ()
