A lot of crazy stories happen in Florida, but perhaps none is stranger, sadder, or more darkly hysterical than the tale of Phillip Tress. Based on a true story, Postal reimagines the emotional meltdown of a Jacksonville millennial - described by local media as “unable to break from a psychotic, unrequited love affair” - whose day goes from bad to so-much-worse when the engagement ring he has ordered online fails to arrive on time. Phil’s downfall gains notoriety as his breakdown is documented by multiple recorded phone calls to a customer service agent at an international shipping company. (Florida Film Festival)
