Tereza – The Charge of Love is an intimate feature-length documentary that reveals the deep relationship between a mother and her disabled child. The late Tereza Gašparíková, well-known translator and interpreter, speaks about her life, about sacrifice, about the love that constantly recharged her, and about the cancer that blindsided her. Despite its seemingly serious subject matter, this is a film full of hope and optimism, thanks in no small part to the disabled Majka, who shrugs off her handicap and does her best to enjoy life to its fullest. We also see Mrs. Gašparíková at work as an interpreter of the highest calibre, meeting with heads of state as well as working for many years at Art Film Fest, where she accompanied, interpreted and made arrangements for stars from around the world. Tereza – The Charge of Love is a tribute to a woman who, despite life bringing her to her knees several times, never gave up, and always stood back up on her feet. (Art Film Fest)
