Plots(1)

Simon is a compulsive liar in every conceivable aspect of his life, from run-of-the-mill excuses for lateness to elaborate falsities fabricated to impress women in bars. So chronic is his propensity for deceit that his family, at their collective wits’ end, stage an intervention which Simon promptly rejects. On awakening in a parallel universe in which his many untruths have become reality, an interminable string of comically rendered disasters ensue including declarations of lust and longing from his sister-in-law and being unable to drive his car without sustaining a very real flat tire. As Simon's fictitious facade crumbles he struggles to untangle the web of lies woven not only around those close to him, but the destructive lies he has told himself. (Whistler Film Festival)
