English This the first episode in this series sets the standard perhaps too high, because it is black-humor, full of absurd humor and overflowing with unforgettable dialogs (and when you consider who wrote the screenplay, it’s obvious why this is). But the Doctor in the House in the remaining episodes he isn’t like this at all. Which isn’t an objection, because even so this is a wonderfully acted, put-your-feet-up, typical British dry-humor dialog series that I will gladly come back to anytime even despite the fact that it is pretty amateurish (in almost every part someone walks into the scenery which starts wobbling, the microphone and comes into shot and the cameraman’s shadow appears on the wall behind the actors... and this isn’t intentional). Sometimes I tell myself that if more parts were like this part one, then this could be an immortal classic without equal. However, the second series isn’t far off; it is much more polished and also very funny, a perfect Britcom. ()
