English More shaky filming and strange angles, less tidy beauty... you can feel that the creators want to bring Poirot closer to the current audience, for whom the fragrant Biedermeier of the older series is already a bit de mode. The plot is quite predictable by Christie's standards and is not overflowing with emotions. I would rather call it a standard collection item. [75%] ()

English Seeing new episodes of Poirot years later is like meeting an old friend who never tires and never disappoints. I hadn't read the source material for this film, so the story kept pleasantly surprising me. Everything was in place - a great atmosphere, David Suchet (understandably) excellent, the lovely Zoë Wanamaker as his equal partner... I suspect this farewell to the Belgian master detective is going to be a big one. ()

English Here it is beautifully visible how it is possible to focus on two different cases and eventually find out that Poirot and Oliver are actually solving one and the same case, which is just very complicated, even though the solution is actually quite simple and the viewer manages to uncover it quite early on. Therefore, relatively early within the series. However, this does not take away from the quality. ()
