When Lord Edgware mysteriously dies there is a long list of shifty-looking suspects - including the butler. Poirot has his work cut out to unmask the murderer. Lord Edgware was a brute and hated by many, including his beautiful actress wife Jane. She claims she visited him on the night of his murder, but witnesses place her somewhere else at the same time. How could this be? Unearthing the killer is harder, not least because Poirot's 'leetle grey cells' are focused on the woman and not the crime. (iTunes)

English Such a beautifully tangled plot that unfolds slowly, but thanks to the return of Hastings and the reunion of all the characters (Poirot, Hastings, Japp, and Miss Lemon), it can be easily digested because it is followed by a intricately woven chase for the murderer that is truly beautiful. It can be guessed who the murderer is, but when Poirot explains it, it is brilliant. ()
