Orsova

Orsova exposes a panoramic view of the town situated on the shores of the dam lake on the Danube and signals the hardships ts inhabitants have to bear. With more than half of its population gone, Orsova exhibits its natural beauty but doesn't come close to actually drawing any touristic benefits from it (daca nu-ti place, refrazez). The people of Orsova live in difficult conditions with few to no jobs available (sau no jobs) and no help from the government which makes them regret the better times from before the fall of the communist regime. The documentary creates a parallel between the contrasting images of the natural environment and its richness on the one hand and the marginalization of the town's inhabitants that try to make a decent living/survive on the other.
