A romantic comedy featuring a superb cast, The Admiral Was a Lady tells the delightful, post-WWII story of former WAVE officer Jean Madison (Wanda Hendrix), nicknamed "The Admiral," who has captured the attentions of three lovable losers: well-meaning but jobless ex-GIs Jimmie (Edmond O'Brien), Eddie (Johnny Sands), and Mike (Steve Brodie). Jean, whose AWOL boyfriend is mixed up in some trouble with a vengeful tycoon (Rudy Vallee), is amused by their antics but isn't buying their lines. (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
