Pride of the Bowery

When Muggs Maloney (Leo Gorcey) decides to find a new place to prepare for the upcoming Golden Gloves boxing championship, his pal Danny (Bobby Jordan) convinces him to go to what Muggs believes is a training camp upstate. When the training camp turns out to be a Conservation Corps camp, where men recoup land for the government in exchange for support of their families, Muggs winds up staying in order to make some cash. When his only friend at the camp steals money from the office to help his financially flailing mother, Muggs attempts to cover for his pal - but catches blame for the crime instead.
