It's not a wrap up of the series, it doesn't add anything to the development of the characters or the story, it basically ends up in the same situation the series ended in again, although it's true that the characters have been shuffled around a bit. If you liked the series, this is just an extended episode. It retains the same quality, no worse or better than the series, nor did the actors show anything new, let alone the creators or director.
