To describe Miguel Grinberg as a journalist, writer and poet doesn’t do him justice. A key figure of the Argentine counter-culture in the 60s, he played a similar role to those of Allen Ginsberg and Jonas Mekas in the usa; unsurprisingly, he was a close friend and collaborator with them both. Satori Sur focuses on their correspondence while celebrating Grinberg’s 80th birthday, surrounded by memories, unpublished texts, unwritten books and existential notes – which he describes as ‘empty moments of the soul’ – as well as charting his story, and his journalistic and artistic achievements.
