Bob Baker is a cowpoke who tries to talk compadre Carleton Young into steering clear of a group of blackhats looking to enlist him for criminal causes. Eventually, deputy sheriff Glenn Strange, the outlaws, and the united Baker and Young find themselves in a three-way battle for survival.
