In this experimental Danish video documentary the maker in her very own way examines persons and phenomena, while comparing sound and image. We are introduced to Michael, a deaf boy, and to Bo Holten, the passionate conductor of the Ars Nova Choir. Erik Borup suffers from an uncommon disease, tinnitus, which causes a chronic ringing in the ear. Finally, we see the French sound therapist dr. A. Tomatis and the theatre group Rio Rose. With the use of the images the filmmaker tries to visualize thoughts about the sound phenomenon. The title, Images of Sound, conveys this aspiration excellently.
